MaMaison Residence Izabella gives the chance to an artist to exhibit his/her works in the breakfast room. You can see the works of a different artist every month and you really like them, then you can even buy them! This month's artist is:
Eszter Tajti
I was born in Hungary, in a small town called Püspökladány. I attended an adult art circle, when I was 6, where Sándor Nagy and Róza Répási had an enormous effect on me. The flavours of the past, the lights, the nice paintings keep emerging in my mind uptill these very days. I was 14 when I was admitted to Bocskai István Secondary School, where I specialised in drawing. My teacher was Róbert Király. A difficult period came: boarding school, silent learning and uniform style.
I met András Topor, when I was 18. I attended his drawing course in my home town, while I parallely attending Bessenyei György Teacher`s Training College in Nyíregyháza.
In 1979 I left Püspökladány and moved to Budapest. After finishing college I started teaching, first in Püspükladány, and after that in Budapest.
At the beginning of the 80`s I had two babies, and being a mother became most important thing in my life. I spent all of my free time with my children. As an adult, I relived with them all the stages of childhood. It was a very decisive period of my life, it was a period of replenishment and observation. The childrens growth, the opening of their intelligence, the excursions together meant perfect happiness for me.
After filling myself up, a new creative period followed, of course parallely with my teaching.
My teaching methods are different from the traditional ones. Self expression, and becoming pervaded with our feelings are especially important for me, beside drawing skills and creativity.
In 2004 I became acquainted with a method of art therapy taught by the Hungarian Art-and Social Therapy and Teambuilding Association. This inspired me to go on using my earlier method.. Now I`m using art therapy with the actors of Baltazár Theater, where we work in a group.
Freedom, the moments of freedom, angels and feelings have inspired my paintings.
